Have you ever wondered why the riverbed comprises nothing but rocks and stones with a trickle of water flowing between puddles?
Or indeed, have you ever realised it is a river?
In fact, this was once a serious river, the River Garry. What you now see is not natural at all!
The River Garry has been destroyed in the quest for power. It was wholly sacrificed for the production of electricity.
But now there is hope.
A recent European Directive means ruined rivers like the Garry should now be improved.
