How to help the River Garry Campaign

The River Garry has been destroyed, but a legislative opportunity exists to bring it back to life.

But, at the end of the day, what actually happens may come down to a political decision.

If you care about the River Garry and would like to see it brought properly back to life rather than just receiving a cosmetic flow in order to suit a giant utility company, then you should make your views known!

You can help in several ways, for example you could

  • Sign the Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board's petition and also get your friends to do so

  • Write a letter of support to a local newspaper, e.g. the Courier, Perthshire Advertiser, Comment etc.

  • Write to or email a local politician (see below)

  • Attend one of the local politicians' surgeries

NEWS FLASH!

YOU SHOULD RESPOND TO SEPA'S CONSULTATION DOCUMENT SUPPORTING THE VIEW THAT SOME LOSS OF ELECTRICITY GENERATION HAS TO BE PERMITTED IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE WATER FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE OBJECTIVES
